McConchie Wins Ballarat Junior Development Series Tennis Tournament

Tim McConchie played for some of his best ever tennis to win the boys 12/U The 2012 Tennis Victoria “Junior Development Series” Ballarat Masters Tournament on Sunday.

The 2012 Tennis Victoria Junior Development Series Ballarat Tournament was played at the Ballarat Regional Tennis Centre.

Events were for both 10/U and 12/U boys and girls only. The event attracted 60 players from Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Tim McConchie defeated Sam Canny 7/6 in the boys 12/U in an all Ballarat final.

The  girls 12/U saw Horsham’s Steffi McDonald defeat Deer Park’s Enya McKernan 6/2.

The Boys 10/U had two Melbourne boys battle it out in a high standard match with Alex Kevill defeat Daniel Paveska 7/6.

Ballarat’s Broden Haintz also played well in this event to lose narrowly 6/7 in the semi-final to Paveska.

The girls 10/U was won by Horsham’s Jess McDonald against the much improved Ballarat’s Emily Tinker 6/4.
